This painting is the first in a series exploring monochromatic painting. I am using reds, along with black and white (and a series of grays). It’s a very limited color palette which really emphasizes the areas of red played against the neutral grays. There is lots of surface texture in this painting which gives it a very rich look and feel. I love it!
