David M. Kessler Studio Workshops-Abstract Painting
Come join David in his studio in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for 3 days of Painting, Discussions, Demonstrations and Fun with plenty of student painting time. Enrollment is limited to 5 people for each workshop, so you get more personalized attention from David. These workshops generally sell out months in advance, so don’t hesitate, or someone else will get your seat!

How to find self expression in your work. Everyone is different and your work should be a reflection of YOU.
How to Loosen Up your painting style.
Many easy ways to develop abstract compositions.
A simple 5-Step Process to develop an abstract panting.
In depth review and implementation of the 5 Design Fundamentals: Shape, Value, Color, Edges, Center of Interest.
How artists throughout history have used color theory to create unity and harmony in their paintings.
Lots of painting exercises to learn implementation of design fundamentals and other concepts.
How to choose materials to support your intentions as an artist.
Professional Practice presentation which includes: how to develop a signature that corresponds with your online presence; how to create consistent presentations; how to photograph your work and why you need to; how to price your work for sales; how and where to begin selling your work; how to market your work; email list basics; website development basics and much more.
All levels of painters are welcome, however you must have some painting experience. These workshops are for water-based media only. David paints with acrylics and watercolor.
Workshop cost is $450 and includes lunch, beverages and snacks each day, along with some painting surfaces.

Workshop refund less $100 will be issued if you cancel prior to 30 days of the workshop date.
No refund if you cancel within 30 days of the workshop date.
