Acrylic Painting: Mixing Green

Acrylic Painting: Mixing Green

I have a great demonstration today on mixing green. Green always seems to be the most difficult color for many students. They want to use it right out of the tube. There are no green colors that I use out of the jar that don’t need some sort of modification to make them useable. You always need to add yellow or white, or mute them with red, or any number of other processes to make them be painting worthy.

Learning how to mix a range of greens using warm and cool blue and warm and cool yellow can open up a huge range of green hues that you may not know know existed. If you’re a painter, you need to know how to mix your own colors and not rely on finding the “perfect” color in a tube. Learn how to make a range of colors so that you can make exactly what you need for the painting your are working on.

The video demonstration shown is an excerpt taken from one of the videos in my online course called All About Color. It isn’t the full video, but it does show the painting demonstration portion of the video.

If you have ever struggled with color in any way, this course is for you. If you have ever wanted to learn how to mix the perfect color for a painting, or create paintings with lush, harmonious color, this course is for you. Because you are watching this video, I have a special offer for you. You can save $50 off the usual retail price by signing up through the link shown below.
