Abstract Painting: Back in Black 2
/Abstract Painting: Back in Black 2
The paint used for this painting are all Golden Heavy Body Acrylic Paint: Mars Black, Neutral Gray 6 and Titanium White. I am painting on a gessoed piece of Fabriano Artistico 300lb Cold Press Watercolor Paper.
Simplicity is the name of the game for this painting. Just as the in the previous post I am not using color, so my emphasis is on shapes, values and the edges between the shapes. Not having any color decisions makes the painting process much easier and allows a back-to-basics approach. This is both a stand alone painting and a value study for a future painting.
If you want to change things up a bit in your studio, use a back-to-basics approach and simplify what you are doing for at least a few paintings. I believe it will be of tremendous value to you moving forward.
