Marabu Art Crayons

Marabu Art Crayons

I love these Marabu Art Crayons! Some friends told me about them many months ago, and I am just getting around to trying them. I have been looking for a material that has great color, is permanent, and does not need to be sealed or varnished, and I finally found what I was looking for.

These art crayons can be used in so many different ways. I use them for line work and adding highlights to watercolor and acrylic paintings. They can be used by themselves to make paintings or drawings, they can be used with stencils, they can be used directly with watercolor and acrylic paint. I love the fact that they are also water soluble.

I can work them directly into acrylic paint! they don’t lose their vibrancy at all. They can be blended, or wiped through with a towel or cloth for different effects. After about 12 hours they set up as permanent and can no longer be manipulated. They are completely lightfast and need no sealant, fixative or varnish. They are literally my perfect material! That’s why I wanted to share them with you.

Get some and see how they may help you to improve your work.
