"All About Color" Introduction
/“All About Color” Introduction
Through the years that I have been teaching workshops, I have noticed that most of my students have very little knowledge of color and how to effectively use it in paintings. They don’t know the names of basic paint colors, or which ones are warm or cool, or how to mix any color they need. These are basic fundamentals that all painters need to know. You need to be able to: tell the difference between Ultramarine Blue and Cerulean Blue just by looking at them on the palette, know which of the two is warm and which is cool, and know when you mix them cool red, which will make the best violet, or with yellow, which will make the best green. While I do teach these fundamentals in my workshops, I only reach a couple hundred people a year.
I decided that I needed something else to help more artists understand color and how to use it in paintings. That’s why I have developed a new online course called “All About Color.” More folks need access to a really good, straightforward, no nonsense, clear and understandable course on color. I’ve tried to read books on color before, and they are so filled with useless minutiae that it puts me to sleep in about 5 minutes - plus they never explain the bridge between color itself, and how to use it in a painting so that the painting has color unity and color harmony.
If you need help understanding color and how to use it in your paintings, then “All About Color” is for you. You can find out more information about “All About Color” and sign up by Clicking Here.
